On 7/5, it was found that someone has spray painted a maintenance vehicle. On 7/6/2026, RICSO was dispatched back to the John Deere Head Quarters for a unknown Black Female wearing all black clothing who spray painted and burned a window at the location on 07/05/2026 at 12:30am.

Masked Man Breaks into Silvis Tobacco Shop

On 06/16/2026, at approximately 1:47am, Officers responded to Greenleaf Tobacco, 1600 John Deere Expressway, Silvis IL, in reference to a Burglary in progress. Through video footage, Officers learned that the sole suspect entered through the rear (west) door by using a pry bar (silver with a red handle).
The suspect is described to be a tall black male. He was wearing a red shirt with black lettering on the front with red and black Under Armor shorts, along with black/white high-top Converse shoes. He had on white gloves and a white facial covering, which covered his face, hair, and neck areas.

On 05/26/2026 at 7:23PM, Davenport Police were dispatched to Riddle’s Jewelry located inside North Park Mall for the theft of jewelry totaling near $24,000.00 in value. The stolen jewelry consisted of (2) 10 karat, yellow gold, Cuban style, chain necklaces. The suspect was described as a shorter statured black male, wearing all black clothing, black Minnesota Twins ball cap, white shoes and a pink surgical mask. The suspect entered a dark colored Cadillac XT4 when fleeing the area.

Storage Unit Thefts leading to Thousands of dollars’ worth of items missing

During the week of June 15th, the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the American Storage, 303 N 2nd Avenue, Carbon Cliff, where there was a series of burglaries. Over the course of the week there were at least 14 storage units broken into with several thousands of dollars’ worth of property taken, including tools and firearms. The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office and Crime Stoppers is seeking information regarding these burglaries.

On Tuesday June 2nd, Rock Island County Sheriff Office was called to the 11000 block of 123rd Street West, Taylor Ridge Illinois in reference to a report of burglary to a motor vehicle where 7 firearms and fishing equipment were taken. This burglary took place between overnight on June 2nd. The Moline Police Department received a call on June 2nd at 6:02am that a firearm case was located in the area of 38th St and 10th Ave, no firearms were located within the area. It is believed that this burglary could be connected to a string of burglary cases across Moline.

On May 12, 2026, a victim received a scam call and gave the scammer access to his computer. The victim was talked into withdrawing $39,000 from his bank account, and eventually meeting them in person. The scammer directed the victim, if questioned, to tell his bank the withdrawal was for home improvements. The victim did as directed, and handed over $39,000 cash to the pictured female suspect. She was a passenger in a black Honda CRV with a dealer plate (number unknown). It is believed she is likely from out of the area. On April 29, 2026, at about 12:20 AM, East Moline Police were called to an incident of shots fired at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of 49th Avenue Court. Multiple shell casings were recovered. One round entered a nearby apartment where the resident was present. There were no injuries reported. Investigators believe there were at least two suspects involved.
