Rock Island Police took a report of a stolen 2022 Ford Bronco from the 1200 block of 37th Avenue.  The thieves were caught on video taking the Bronco on January 9th at about midnight. On November 30th, 2024, at 2:24 p.m. East Moline Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 17th Street and 9th Avenue. They located an adult male who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. MAN ROBS WALGREEN'S IN MOLINE - MO25-00049

Just before noon on January 4, 2025, the pictured man committed a robbery at Walgreen’s, 3601 16th Street, Moline. He is seen on surveillance cameras walking to the area from the south.  While inside, the man took a pair of new gloves to the restroom, removed the tags and put them on.  At the photo counter, he handed an employee a note demanding all the money from the drawer. He was given the money and then he ran out of the store southbound. SECURITY SYSTEM STOLEN FROM MENARDS IN MOLINE - MO24-04127

Back on July 11, 2024, this guy entered Menards and selected a Night Owl brand security camera system valued at over $400.  He then emptied a shop vac box and placed the camera system inside it.  The suspect then pays the amount for the shop vac and leaves the store. On October 19, 2024, the female in this photo presented a check to pay for about $933 worth of merchandise at Menards in Moline. TWO MEN PICK-POCKET AN ELDERLY MAN - MO24-06086
November 01, 2024

On October 6, 2024, an elderly victim was pick-pocketed while he was exiting Jewel-Osco in Moline.  These two suspects approached the victim from the front and back. ATTEMPTED COPPER THEFT IN MILAN - CO24-02882

On September 20, 2024, Rock Island Police officers responded to the 1100 block of 39th Street in reference to a residential burglary. Upon arrival, it was learned that the back door to the residence was forced open and multiple items were missing including a handgun. It was also learned that the homeowner had a surveillance camera that recorded the suspect's face. MOTOCYCLE STOLEN ON HWY 61 IN SCOTT COUNTY - 2024-30644

On August 11, 2024, the victim’s motorcycle broke down on Highway 61 at mile marker 131 in Scott County.  When he came back to pick it up the next day it was gone.  Scott County Sheriff’s Office has not been able to locate it. It is believed that it was stolen. The motorcycle is a silver 2008 Harley Davidson FLHRC. DOLLAR TREE ROBBED - RI24-03385

On July 26, 2024 at 10:42pm, two masked subjects wearing dark clothing with hoods entered the Dollar Tree, located at 2552 24th Street, Rock Island and demanded money from an employee.  One subject was armed with a firearm.  No injuries were reported.  One of the suspects is described as a black, male, 5’11” tall, in his mid 20's who was wearing all black clothing. The second suspect was slightly shorter than the other suspect and was carrying an AR-15 style rifle. This suspect was also wearing all black clothing, black gloves, and a black face mask. $1,000 REWARD - ARMED ROBBERY AT WALGREENS IN MILAN - MI24-00254
July 23, 2024

On May 12, 2024, two masked men walked into Walgreens in Milan just before closing at 10:00pm.  One of them displayed an AK-47 style rifle and demanded money.  They took an undisclosed amount of cash. The first suspect is described as a male, black, 5’7”-5’9” tall wearing a black Nike quarter zip shirt and black Nike shoes. He walked slightly pigeon-toed. The second suspect was carrying the rifle and is described as male, black, 5’10”-6’ tall wearing all black clothing and bright red shoes. MAN MURDERED IN KEWANEE - PERSON OF INTEREST SOUGHT - 2024-41786200419
June 21, 2024

The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 and the Henry Mercer County Investigative Task Force are investigating a homicide in Kewanee, Illinois. On June 8, 2024, the Kewanee Police Department responded to a welfare check in the 800 block of West Division Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Damon Foulks (Age 50) unresponsive and he was pronounced deceased. James Reed III (Age 26) from Kewanee has been identified as a person of interest. Agents are actively trying to locate Reed. Please do not approach him. MURDER OF TAVIAN PETERSEN-BROWN REMAINS UNSOLVED - $15000 REWARD OFFERED - RI22-07726

On October 22, 2022 at 12:24 AM, Tavian Petersen-Brown and his girlfriend attended a party at a home in the 1000 block of 14th Street, Rock Island.  During the party, Tavian was shot and killed by an unknown suspect.  It is not known why Tavian was shot.  Prior to police arrival, the majority of the people attending the party had fled the scene and those who remained could not provide much information.   Tavian’s friends and family want and deserve answers.  To help with that, a reward fund was established. The reward fund is up to $12,500.  Crime Stoppers is also offering a $2,500 reward.   The person who submits the tip to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest in this unsolved murder case will receive a total cash reward of $15,000.  If you know something, now is the time to do what is right and tell us.  Tavian’s loved ones, Rock Island Police Department and Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities are asking for anyone with information to call our tip line 309-762-9500,  or tap the app P3 Tips. You will remain anonymous!
