EAST MOLINE CAR WASHES VICTIM OF BURGLARY (2017/12/08)

THIEVES HIT UTILITY SUBSTATIONS (2017/12/01)

 

Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on who is responsible for thefts from utilitiy substations in rural Milan and rural Reynolds IL.  On November 27 and 28 it was reported that unknown suspects cut holes in the fence at both locations and stole copper wire.  Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity occurring at utility substations should call 9-1-1 immediately.  Or if you know who is doing this, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or tap the app “P3 Tips.”  All tips are secure and anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.  Rewards are enhanced by fifty percent (maximum $1,000 reward) through December 8th



CAR TORCHED IN MOLINE (2017/11/22)

THEFT FROM A MOLINE WHITEY'S STORE UNDER INVESTIGATION (2017/11/17)

On November 16, 2017 it was discovered that a freezer compressor had been stolen from Whitey's Ice Cream on 41st Street in Moline. CARJACKING REPORTED IN MOLINE (2017/11/15)

The Moline Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance obtaining information on those responsible for an Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking that occurred on November 11th, 2017 in the 3600 block 25th Street.

 

Shortly before midnight on November 11th, two adults, a male and female were exiting their vehicle when they were approached by 3 adult males who were brandishing firearms.

 

The suspects demanded the vehicle and during the ensuing struggle, the suspect struck the victim several times with a firearm.  During the struggle the firearm discharged one time, narrowly missing the male victim.

 

The suspects were able to get control of the victim’s vehicle, a gray 2005 Volvo SUV and fled the area.

 

On November 14th, 2017 at approximately 7pm, Moline Police and Fire were dispatched to the 1100 block of 15th Street A and found the stolen 2005 Volvo SUV fully engulfed in flames.

 

The investigation revealed that unknown subjects threw a Molotov Cocktail into the vehicle and fled the area southbound on foot.  Shortly after the fire a darker vehicle was observed leaving the area and was described as being similar to a Chevrolet Camaro.

UPDATE ON MOLINE SHOOTING (2017/11/09)

On November 1, 2017, Moline Police responded to a shots fired call in the 2500 block of 5th Street.  A gold Honda and a Silver Ford Taurus were chasing each other and shots were fired damaging a vehicle in the area.  No one was injured.  The gold Honda crashed and witnesses saw 3 male, black subjects run from the area.  A sales receipt was left in the car which led to police obtaining these surveillance photos.  Moline Police would like to talk to these three men about the shooting.  If you can identify them, call the tip line 309-762-9500, submit your tip here, or download our free app P3 Tips.  If your information leads to an arrest you'll receive a cash reward.

MOWER STOLEN IN MOLINE (2017/11/09)

The pictured suspect entered Walgreens, 1525 E Kimberly Rd Davenport just after midnight Thursday, November 2nd. MOLINE POLICE REPORT SHOOTING (2017/11/01)

Moline officers responded to the 2550 block of 5th Street after receiving numerous calls about shots fired. Officers learned from witnesses that occupants in a silver Ford Taurus and a gold Honda Accord were exchanging gunfire before the driver of the Accord crashed into a tree. CRICKET WIRELESS BURGLARIZED (2017/10/26)

On September 22, 2017 East Moline Police were dispatched for an alarm at Cricket Wireless, 649 Avenue of the Cities.  Police discovered the glass entry door on the south side of the store to be shattered.  The suspect ran off with 8 cell phones.
 
East Moline police say this crime is possibly related to the rash of cell phone store break-ins in Davenport.
 
This suspect was caught on camera but his face can't be seen.  The best hope for identifying him is if someone recognizes his clothing. The suspect is a male black wearing a black Carhartt sweatshirt.  The sweatshirt has a word logo on the upper left chest area. The suspect is also wearing plaid shorts, white Jordan tennis shoes and a red tee-shirt under the hoodie.

Since October 5th, three Moline churches have experienced burglaries. In all three cases, unknown suspect(s) forced their way into storage sheds and stole tools and lawn equipment. CHILDREN'S TOY STOLEN (2017/10/17)

MOLINE NEIGHBORHOOD HIT WITH CAR BURGLARIES (2017/10/05)

During the late night hours of October 1st into the early morning hours of October 2, four cars were burglarized in the area of the 3400 block of 60th Street in Moline and valuables were taken.  All four cars were left unlocked.

Unknown suspects entered a fifth unlocked car and found the ignition key hidden (not so well) inside and they stole the vehicle.  It was later recovered in Joliet IL with significant damage.

It sounds like common sense but it is important to be consistent in locking your cars and securing your valuables where they can`t be seen (preferably not in your car).
