MOLINE POLICE ASKING FOR HELP ON HOMICIDE CASE 2018-011886

TWO LAUNDROMATS BURGLARIZED SAME DAY 2018-009900/2018-004421

On October 5, 2018 someone entered the Timberline Laundromat, Port Byron and tried to break into a coin machine.  On October 6th someone removed a computer system that controls the surveillance system at the laundromat.  There was no forced entry, so it is possible the computer was taken when the business was open.  The value of the missing computer system is $1,500.  Also on October 5th, the Neighborhood Laundromat located at 320 19th Street, East Moline was burglarized.  A large amount of coins were stolen from the change dispensing machines.  Several of the change dispensing machines were damaged in the process of the burglary. THEFT REPORTED AT CORDOVA DRAGWAY - 2018-010029
November 01, 2018

During the early morning hours (between 1 and 2 AM) October 6th, someone entered the property at Cordova Dragway.  They then broke into several pop machines and took the cash.  They also removed an ATM from the property.  They likely transported it on a golf cart to the back of the property and removed the lower portion where the cash is.   The rest of the ATM was left behind.  Suspects cut the fence on the property as they left with the ATM. ARSON AT DEVIL'S GLEN PARK, BETTENDORF

STORAGE UNIT BURGLARY SUSPECT SOUGHT - 2018-003192
November 01, 2018

During the early morning hours of October 22, 2018, a grey Kia Sportage operated by James Kenney pulled into the Airport Road Mini Storage Units, Milan.  The Airport Road Mini Storage had been the victim of several criminal damages to property and burglaries recently.  The grey Kia Sportage matched the suspect vehicle in prior incidents on video.  Officers were patrolling the storage units and attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  The vehicle fled from Milan officers.  James Kenney, in the same vehicle, is on video surveillance in Moline committing storage unit burglaries. Kenney has no confirmed address but stays in the Davenport area. Kenney is a male, white, age 41, 5’6” tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.  He has outstanding warrants in Iowa for Possession Controlled Substance, 13 counts Failure to Appear and three counts Probation Violation on previous drug and weapons charges.   Milan and Moline officers would like your help in locating Kenney.  If you know where he is, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using the app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.

FAMILY STILL WANTS ANSWERS IN THIS COLD CASE FATAL HIT AND RUN - 2003-004349
October 25, 2018

On August 3, 2003 at about 1:45 a.m. Shannon Williams, Age 29, was walking in the westbound lanes of Illinois Route 5 in East Moline when he was struck by an unknown passenger car, described as a white, early 90`s model sedan; possibly an Impala, Celebrity, LeSabre, Dynasty or Electra that has a square, boxy body style.  The car then fled the scene westbound on Route 5. Bystanders came from Two River`s Tavern (Now known as Chopper's) and rendered first aid to Williams, who was found lying on the north side of the westbound lanes.  Another bystander attempted to follow the suspect vehicle, but lost it in traffic somewhere near Barstow Road.  Williams was transported to Illini Hospital by ambulance, and was later transferred to Trinity West Medical Center, where died.  The public’s help is needed to solve this 15 year old cold case.  The family wants to know who hit Shannon and left the scene.  If you have information, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip using the free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward of up to $2,500.

BIKE STOLEN FROM UTHS STUDENT
October 25, 2018

A 14 year old student from UTHS rode his Green DK Legend BMX bicycle with black rims to McDonald’s in East Moline on Friday, October 19th.  The bike was stolen while he was inside.  The bike has a black seat with a tear in it.   Witnesses have stated that they have seen the bike on a few occasions after school or early evening hours near Burger King, Deerfield Woods and Crown Forest apartments in East Moline.  The bike has a $700 value.  If you know who is responsible, call the tip line or tap the app P3 Tips, or use UTHS’s P3 Campus app. All tips are anonymous.

VON MAUR THEFT UNDER INVESTIGATION 2018-011211

On October 13, 2018, this couple entered Von Maur in Southpark Mall Moline and carried out $400 worth of clothing they hadn’t paid for.  Store Security confronted them in the parking lot and recovered the merchandise.  However, the suspects fled the area to avoid arrest.  They were driving a silver Saturn with partial Iowa registration of “HHN”.

CREDIT CARD STOLEN AT BETTENDORF YMCA

On September 22, 2018, this subject used a credit card that had been stolen from a locker at the Bettendorf YMCA.  The card was used to purchase approximately $4,000.00 worth of electronics and gift cards at Best Buy in Davenport.  The store manager stopped the male before he left the store with the items and the charges were reversed.  The male left Best Buy and walked to the Davenport Target.  He also made attempts at the Moline Best Buy.  If you know who he is call the tip line 309-762-9500 or submit your tip from the free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.

MOTORCYCLIST FLEES FROM ROCK ISLAND POLICE 2018-011100

BURGLAR HITS 3 CARS AT A EAST MOLINE HOME 2018-004281

On September 27, 2018, this subject entered three cars parked in the driveway of a residence in the 2100 block of 4th Avenue, East Moline. He is described as a male, white wearing a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants. The person’s image was captured on the victim’s surveillance camera. After rifling through those 3 vehicles he walked across the street and attempted to enter another vehicle but it was locked and he left the area. The subject only took a set of keys to one of the vehicles but did not take the vehicle at that time. BURGLARS CAUGHT ON VIDEO IN ROCK ISLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - 2018-010859

On September 25th, Rock Island Police took a burglary report in the 2500 block of 20th Avenue.  At about 2 in the morning, two male black suspects were caught on surveillance entering a Jeep.  They used the garage door opener to get into the garage and steal a bicycle.  The bike was recovered down the block but the suspects still have the garage door remote. OLD TOWNE BARBER BURGLARIZED 2018-008219
September 27, 2018

On September 19th at around 2:00 am. An unknown suspect entered Old Towne Barber Shop, 905 18th Avenue, Moline, by busting a window on the north side of the building. The suspect stole a Kindle tablet, a security camera, and about $10 in quarters from a glass jar. STOLEN CREDIT CARD USED AT SOUTHPARK MALL (2018-10229)

The pictured subjects are suspects in a vehicle burglary in Davenport where stolen credit cards were taken and used at Champs in Southpark Mall on September 18th. They arrived in a black 2011 Audi Q5 with California plates 7GFN938.  The SUV had a bike rack on the top. They are described as younger male Hispanics with heavy accents. The males were wearing dark-colored shorts and tee-shirts. One of the males had the letters "USA" on the back.  The offenders purchased $165.00 worth of merchandise with the stolen credit card. HELP ID QUICK CHANGE SUSPECTS (2018-009914)

On September 8, 2018 the couple pictured are suspected in a Quick Change scam at Walmart in Moline.  The two approached the cashier with a purchase and the male offender asks for change and is seen on video slipping bills into his pocket, then telling the cashier he did not receive the correct change. The male offender did this several times,  getting away with $150. GOLF CARTS STOLEN AT 2 LOCAL COURSES (2018-10259/2018-9111)

Rock Island Police took a report of two golf carts that were stolen from Highland Springs Golf Course, Rock Island, during the early part of September.  Both are white 2015 Yamahas.  One had the number 2 and one had the number 19 on it.  Then on September 17th, Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office took a report of the theft of two golf carts from Byron Hills Golf Course in Port Byron. ENHANCED REWARD! BURGLARIES AT BOB'S BLACKTOP EAST MOLINE - 2018-003292

On September 3rd, two subjects attempted to steal a gas can from Bob’s Black top, 1180 Avenue of The Cities East Moline. These subjects are also possibly involved in burglaries to a bus at the same location on July 25th and August 24th.  Taken was a 55” 4K flat screen TV, 10 speakers, 4 amps and a Kenwood deck.  The suspects also tore seats in a bus and ripped the walls out.  The vehicle involved was a light colored Chevrolet Cavalier convertible with a black top and black rims.  The Chevrolet was driven by a thin female with long blonde hair and a tall male passenger.  Crime Stoppers is offering an enhanced reward of up to $1,000.  If you know who is responsible, call the tip line 309-762-9500 or tap the free app P3 Tips.  All tips are anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.
